The MPG offers use of its Twitter feed to members
September 10, 2011
The Music Producers Guild currently has 2500+ followers on Twitter.
We are happy to make announcements via Twitter on behalf of MPG Full and Associate members.
Even if you use Twitter yourself, you can gain a wider audience for your news and announcements by tapping into the many followers of the MPG Twitter feed.
So - if you have something to announce: perhaps the release of a recording you have worked on, an up-coming gig by one of your clients, or a recent chart success or favourable presss review, get in touch and we will ensure that all of the MPG's 2500+ followers will get to see it.
You don't need your own Twitter account to use this service.
Send your text, exactly as you would like it to be transmitted (max 140 characters), along with your MPG member username, to:
communications@mpg.org.uk
140 characters is quite restrictive, so use abbreviations where possible, and avoid unnecessary punctuation. It's always a good idea to include a web link to encourage readers to further investigate your topic but unfortunately, many web links are quite lengthy. You can shorten them drastically using the function provided by Bitly.
Don't forget to include your name in your Tweet.
Follow the MPG Twitter feed here.
N.B. This service is intended to celebrate and announce the achievements of MPG members, and should not be used to promote services or sales of equipment or computer software.
With this in mind, the MPG reserves the right to veto any message which might be construed as spam, or is considered to be inappropriate.
Tweets must be music-related
