I started as a tea-boy at the Marquee Studios in 1973 and trained under legendary engineers Phil Dunne and Geoff Calver. Producers using the Marquee at that time were people like Gus Dudgeon mixing 'Elton John' albums and recording 'Kiki Dee'.My early engineering breaks were with 'The Clash' - I mixed 'White Man At Hammersmith Palais' and I recorded & mixed the first 'Killing Joke' album 'Requiem'. Other acts I worked with after that were 'Toyah Wilcox' and 'Matt Bianco'. In 1984 I became chief engineer and mixer for Stock / Aitken / Waterman at PWL Studios, mixing and working with acts from 'Dead or Alive' through to 'Rick Astley' and 'Kylie'.In 1992 I moved into a production suite at The Strongroom studios with Ian Curnow and together we Produced and wrote hits for 'East 17' and 'Boyzone'.
