Audio Interface for Logic Pro

Posted on: February 24, 2010 @ 10:18 PM most recent comment at October 01, 2011 @ 06:00 PM
Can anyone recommend an audio interface, preferably firewire, that has more than 2ins 2outs and anyone had any bad experiences with a particular interface. I'm running Logic on a MacBook Pro 2.6Ghz Intel Core Duo with 4GB memory so relatively limited CPU.ThanksBlue

Hi Blue - Prism Sound's Orpheus or Apogee Ensemble - these might be over-spec'd for what you need, but are v. good units.

More than 2 ins and outs could mean quite a lot of things, but I recently picked up an M Audio profire 2626. 8 analogue ins and outs are plenty for most projects for me now, but theres the option for 16 extra channels in and out through ADAT which will make a great IO for a desk in the future.

Hi all. Ive been using the 2626 for concert recordings with 2x chnl A/Ds. So far results has been top spec. Hope this helps.
