Andrew Hunt is a London based record producer. Originally from the Midlands, Andrew has nearly thirty years of experience in a variety of roles.
Initially Andrew started his musical career playing in bands, both in the Midlands and London. As well as being a multi-instrumentalist, as a singer songwriter he has had a number of publishing and production deals. These have included J. Albert & Sons (AC/DC’s publishers) and Bird & Bush (Stereophonics’ producers).
A few years ago, whilst playing session guitar on an album in Liverpool’s Elevator Studios, Andrew made the move behind the desk taking on the role of producer. Since then he has worked with a wide variety of artists, producing many styles and genres, in a number of reputable (and not so reputable) studios.
Always selective with his choice of artists, many of his productions have gone on to be competition winners.
Although his speciality is recording bands, he is equally at home working with artists in a writer/producer/programmer capacity. This has been his predominant role in his forthcoming releases.
On more recent projects he has expanded his credits to engineer and mix engineer.
As well as being a Director for the MPG, Andrew is a member of the BRIT's Voting Academy and an MPG LIPA Graduate Award mentor.
Andrew very much agrees in the belief that the producer is the hidden member of the band. Coming from the musicians stand point he strives to realise the vision of the band, whilst trying to offer his all to make every track as strong as possible.
