While he was growing up in Frankfurt, Germany, Stevan Krakovic began his career with Austrian Indie label Ugly Tree Records as well as mixing and mastering concerts for the Radio Orange show Subbacultcha (featuring The Melvins, The Donnas, The Posies, The Supersuckers). On moving to London in 2000 Stevan immersed himself in the UK Hip Hop scene, recording, mixing and producing singles and albums for and with  Jehst, Scribla (Terra Firma), LG, Tommy Evans, Kyza, Dubbleedge, Sona Family, Metz&Trix, Kingpin and many more. Proving that he was not content with working in only one muscial genre, Stevan embarked on a new direction when he set up his own recording studio in north London in collaboration the band Tom Mansi & The Icebreakers, whom he also produces. Since then, he has worked on a series of alternative rock records for Kartel and other labels, including artists such as Astrohenge and The Bruised Beauties. More recently, Stevan founded his own record label, Metric Acorn, together with Tom Mansi & The Icebreakers. Their second album "Perils A Plenty" will be released later this year. When he is not busy producing albums or being on the road with bands, Stevan also works on the inflight audio for the German national carrier Lufthansa and other corporate clients as well as recording library music for Boosey & Hawkes and Renomee.  As a director of the MPG Stevan is also involved in organising events and is in charge of cooperation with the Fraunhofer IIS in Germany. After finishing some tracks for the band Wolf People's debut album on Jagjaguwar he is currently working with the Damn Jammage and various other up and coming bands. I am very proud that I have been shortlisted for "Breakthrough Engineer of the Year" in the MPG Awards 2011 and "Breakthrough Producer of the Year" in the MPG Awards 2012! Since I run my own studio in north London I can work to varying budgets. If you are interested drop me a line:-)
