How can I upload my photo?
Go to your dashboard page (hit the link in the top right hand corner of any MPG page), where you will find a link in the column on the right hand side of the page: "my image/photo". This will take to another page, where you browse your computer's hard drive for a suitable image. Then hit "upload".
How can I upload my music?
Go to your dashboard page (hit the link in the top right hand corner of any MPG page), where you will find a link in the column on the right hand side of the page: "upload audio files". This will take to another page, where you browse your computer's hard drive for audio files to upload. Then hit the link: "Upload a new audio file?".
How can I change my privacy settings?
Go to your dashboard page (hit the link in the top right hand corner of any MPG page), where you will find a link in the column on the right hand side of the page: "privacy settings".
How can I contact the MPG?
Use the link in the top right hand corner of any MPG page: "Contact". you can phone, write a letter or send an email.
How can I find out about future events?
Hit the Events tab, above.
How can I prevent unsolicited contact from visitors to the MPG web
site?
By making appropriate selections in your Privacy Settings, you can limit the access from others who may visit the site. In fact, you can make yourself completely invisible, if you so wish! Of course, that mght be a counter-productive choice if you are interested in receiving emails from prospective clients.
How can I post a blog in the Vocal Booth?
First, you write the blog in your personal blog page. You can access this by using the link "update my blog" on the right hand side of any MPG page, and then clicking "compose a new post". Beneath the main text area of the new blog, there is a checkbox: "Add post to the Vocal Booth". Checking this box will create an alias of your blog on the Vocal Booth page. Any changes or edits you make to the original blog page will be reflected in the Vocal Booth and vice versa.
How can I find a member's blog page?
Go to their profile page, which you find by using the web site search function (top right of every page), unless they have chosen to maintain complete privacy.

How can I become more involved in the MPG?
The Music Producers Guild is run entirely by the efforts of the directors, who are un-paid volunteers. All of the administration and events planning is carried out in their spare time, and so any help and/or new ideas are always welcome. If you would like to become more involved in the running of the MPG, please send an email, using the "Contact" link in the top right corner of this page. Your offer will not be ignored!
How can I help organise MPG events?
Any assistance in organising MPG events will be gratefully received. If you're interested, please send an email using the link "Contacts" in the top right hand corner of this page.
How can I offer supportive benefits to the MPG?
The MPG site has a page which lists the benefits available to members (http://www.mpg.org.uk/benefits). If your company is interested in offering discounts on purchase of your products, or any other kind of benefit, please send an email, using the link in the top right hand corner of this page "Contacts" (select "Members Benefits").
How can I sponsor the MPG Awards?

Can the MPG recommend a manager or producer for me?
Please note that the Music Producers Guild is not an agency, but a professional trade organisation, and anyone wishing to contact producers or engineers should do so using their individual email addresses, which can be found in the Members Directory. You can select appropriate producers and engineers, by checking the boxes listed under Genre, etc.
Does the MPG provide legal support?
Not directly, although Full Members of the MPG are entitled to take advantage of the generous offer of 30 minutes free consultation with music business lawyer, Penny Gantz. Please refer to the member benefits pages. Full Members may also access a selection of pre-formatted legal agreement documents, which are designed to help producers set up appropriate legal relationships with their clients.
I think I am owed money by a record company - can you help me get it?
Legal advice is available to Full Members (see above). Another of the benefits of MPG Full Membership is access to financial advice from music industry accountants, H W Fisher. Please refer to the member benefits pages.

Join the Music Producers Guild and make contact with producers. You should also access the MPG Members Directory.
